Vancouver Island is stunning in the winter too. We did a 3-day trip exploring Victoria and Nanaimo, with whale watching in the Salish Sea where we spotted orcas, humpback whales, and sea lions. The peacocks at Beacon Hill Park and the driftwood sculptures at Esquimalt Lagoon were unexpected highlights.
